Improv sewing has always been a ton of fun for me. I love the challenge, I love the freedom, I love the surprise, I just love it!
So back in 2017, inspired by the Improv Quilt Group Bee Sewcial , I founded the Improv Bee. Here are a few of my works of the two years we were sewing together on different themes.
This quilt top I pieced as the collaborative result of my first year as the “Queen Bee”.
As a trained architect, I asked for two pink/orange quilt blocks inspired by modern architecture.
Putting it together was quite a challenge, but also a lot of fun. It still needs to be quilted.
My second theme, were all kinds of diffrent triangles in purple and yellow.
I imagined it to be easier to piece in a top, or even to come up with a great design. It took me a few years (almost five) to put it back on the design wall again.
